  1. Print jam live

Tonight (an for the next few nights) I’m going to be printing two posters: a 4-color for Visqueen & Throw Me The Statue, and reprinting a three color glow in the dark art print (called Something About Leaving).

This will have to be broken up over a few days, but let’s get started!

  2. Screen burning.

Almost all of my other screens are done, but this is the first color for the Visqueen print: it will be a light silver-grey.

Film is on my coated screen, cooking under 1000w lights for 16 minutes. The reflection you see is from the glass holding down the film.

  3. Washout: cold water sprayed on the screen. Areas that were covered when it was exposed wash out, the rest harden and make a stencil.

In this photo, you can see the stars staring to come out.

  4. Switching over to Something About Leaving now, while the Visqueen screen dries.

Last step before ink hits screen: a quick wipedown with 409 to lube the screen and keep the ink from drying in.
